The enhanced OC Riptide fan experience is achievable only through the hard work and dedication from our internship staff. Covering numerous departments from Scoring / Analytics to Game Day Operations to Live Stream Broadcast to Sports Information to Social Media, the OC Riptide interns are the engine that make game days smooth and enjoyable for fans in the stands and those watching games online.

Marketing & Publicity
Marketing & Publicity staff members are tasked with updating and maintaining all of the OC Riptide social media accounts including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
Nina Corral – On-Field Master of Ceremonies & TikTok/Reels
Nina Corral joined the OC Riptide 2023 internship staff as their In-Stadium Host and also Marketing and Publicity department, focused on TikTok and Instagram Reels. Nina is a sophomore at Biola Univerity, majoring in Business with a concentration in Marketing with a minor in broadcast journalism.
Nina was born and raised in Orange County and grew up around baseball with her brother playing while her dad was the coach. She has her brother and dad to thank for getting her into the sport of baseball.
During this summer, Nina is looking to gather more knowledge of what it takes to work within a sports environment and learn from her co-workers.
Some of Nina’s career goals include being a part of a sports marketing production team such as Angels Strike Force, sideline reporter, and In-Stadium Host. Some of Nina’s career role models are Mandi Ortiz, Rachel Nichols, and Alex Curry.
Nina has a part-time job at Angels Stadium as an Usher. Nina’s hobbies include volunteering, spending time with friends and family, and baking.

Kendall Villegas – Marketing & Publicity
Kendall Villegas joins the Orange County Riptide 2023 Marketing & publicity staff as a junior at Boise State University. She is majoring in Integrated Media & Strategic Communications and is currently working towards completing a certificate in Innovation & Design.
On campus, Kendall is a part of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority and enjoys being a part of their philanthropy events. Kendall was born and raised in Orange County Calif. and attended Beckman High School where she was on the varsity dance team. Kendall developed her love of baseball from watching her older brother who just completed his senior baseball season at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She has also had a passion for social media and is excited to gain experience and further develop her skills.
In her free time, Kendall likes to shop, go to the beach, and spend time with her friends and family. She is excited to be a member of the OC Riptide team and is looking forward to a great summer.

Elizabeth Dunning – Sports Information
Elizabeth Dunning is thrilled to join the Orange County Riptide 2023 Sports Information Department. Dunning is a sophomore at the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism and Communication. She is majoring in Journalism with a minor in Sports Business. Dunning is very passionate about sports, especially women in sports.
Dunning grew up surrounded by baseball, and played softball for a decade herself. Since she no longer plays, she still surrounds herself with the sports she loves, and is interested in learning about broadcasting. That curiosity found an outlet in her work with the University of Oregon’s student radio station, KWVA. Working for the sports department, she’s gained valuable experience covering baseball and softball games. Those coverages introduced her to the production of compelling audio and written stories. She has gained interview experience in post-game press conferences and loves to conduct engaging interviews with coaches and athletes.
Dunning hopes to further her development as a sports journalist, while challenging herself to strive for more. Away from the field, Dunning works a day job as a lifeguard at a local lake. In her free time, she also enjoys reading, cooking, walking her dog and hiking.
Dylan Luden – Sports Information
Dylan Luden joins the the Orange County Riptide 2023 Sports Information Department as an incoming junior at the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. Prior to transferring, Luden earned an Associates of Arts degree in Journalism from Saddleback College. Luden is currently majoring in journalism in the hopes of becoming a sports broadcaster or sports TV host in the future. He wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps in becoming a sports broadcaster after he broadcasted BMX for ESPN 2 after his racing career.
At Saddleback College, Luden was apart of many different programs such as the news show “OC Now”, podcast “OC in Focus”, and wrote for the school newspaper The Lariat. Luden did play-by-play and color commentary for the women’s soccer and baseball team for KSBR 88.5 radio and YouTube live stream.
Luden was born and raised in Rancho Santa Margarita and went to Trabuco Hills High School where he was apart of the “Mustang Morning News” program as a sports anchor and hosted his own sports segment “The Low Down”. He was also apart of the Mustang’s baseball program as a team manager.
Luden is thrilled to join the OC Riptide this summer and work with others who love baseball while further developing on journalism skills. He is excited to transfer to USC and continue his broadcasting and journalism education. He loves to root for the Angels and also the Mets thanks to his father. In his free time, he likes to watch movies/TV, listen to music, spend time with friends and family, and watch other sports such as NBA, NFL, NHL, soccer, and F1.
Alex Suarez – Sports Information
Alex Suarez is a recent graduate of Arizona State University, with a degree in Sports Journalism.
At ASU, Suarez worked for the Arizona Republic covering High School Varsity athletics and ASU’s student media “Walter Cronkite Sports Network” as a sports reporter for Women’s volleyball and gymnastics.
Born and raised in Irvine, Suarez is thrilled to return home and have the opportunity to provide coverage of the OC Riptide for their players and fans. Suarez hopes to become a beat reporter covering a professional team in the future.
Photography / Videography
The Orange County Riptide strives to document not only the teams success on the field but the overall fan experience at the games. The video and photography interns serve as team historians providing imagery for the Sports Information staff, Marketing & Publicity staff along with visual representation to the California Collegiate League.
Sarah Cisneros – Photography
Sarah Cisneros joins the Orange County Riptide for the summer of 2023 as a team photographer. Sarah attends Cal State Fullerton and is a rising sophomore majoring in Cinema and Television.
Sarah took an interest in photography during her senior year of high school while photographing her school’s baseball team. Upon season end, Sarah wanted to find a way that she could continue photography in college. This past spring, Sarah worked directly with the Cal State Fullerton Baseball program and she interned with titan Baseball as part of their social media team. Sarah’s duties with titan Baseball included creating photos and videos for the team’s Instagram and Tik Tok channels. Her internship with Titan Baseball fueled her passion for the sport and plans to pursue a career in this field. As a huge baseball fan all her life, Sarah aspires to one day work for an MLB team in the future.
Sarah is very excited to intern with the OC Riptide and hopes to learn many new skills this summer and make many new friends. Sarah is grateful for this opportunity to continue to do what she loves and share it with a new group of people.
Joel Corral – Videography
Joel Corral joins the Orange County Riptide 2023 Media Staff as a junior at Biola University majoring in Cinema and Media Arts with a concentration in Production and minoring in Journalism and Integrated Media with a concentration in Broadcasting.
Joel grew up playing baseball and played in high school. He is passionate about filmmaking and would love to combine his love for sports and film into a career someday. Joel would love to be a videographer for a professional baseball team, such as the Los Angeles Angels, or work for ESPN or Sports Center.
With this internship, he hopes to gain more camera experience while filming the games and enhance his video editing skills. He is also excited to see how a baseball game is run from behind the scenes.
In his free time, he enjoys surfing, creating videos, and spending time with his family and friends. Joel is excited to help the Orange County Riptide by producing media content and working with the other interns and players.

Alyssa Gervacio – Photography
Alyssa Gervacio joins the Orange County Riptide 2023 media staff as an incoming senior at California State University, Long Beach, majoring in Public Relations. As a student, Alyssa has earned two Associates degrees in both Journalism and Public Relations in community college, graduating summa cum laude. Upon transferring to CSULB in her junior year, Alyssa was inducted into CSULB’s Kappa Tau Alpha Honor Society for Public Relations.
Alyssa was born in raised in Orange County with a loving family and an older sister. For over six years, she has been inspired by her dad, a professional photographer, to take pictures of anything and everything possible. In high school, she became the lead photographer for the yearbook staff, working at every sporting event that happened on campus. Fast forward a couple of years, she gets hired at a local photography studio where she specializes in portrait studio photography and sports action shots. In her junior year, she joined the CSULB marketing team as a sports photographer. In the past few years, her passion for sports photography has grown more than ever while pursuing other activities such as weddings, concerts and editorial shoots.
Alyssa continues to work harder than ever, juggling a couple of different jobs, her own freelance photography service and an active small business. With the different experiences she has gone through leading up to this moment, her heart has been set on pursuing marketing and advertising with sports and entertainment in general. The fast-paced and unpredictable environment has been such an exciting setting to work in and will continue to be with every season.
While in community college, she has worked for a handful of campus publications, from magazines to broadcasting programs on and off-screen. With her senior year approaching, her year will include being a Social Media Editor for DIG Magazine at Long Beach. She will also continue working with CSULB sports during gamedays to capture photos of teams around campus. Alyssa is ecstatic to join the OC Riptide Media Team as a photographer this Summer, and is eager to grow and build connections with fellow sports media enthusiasts, as well as Riptide fans.
Andrew Leal – Photography
Andrew Leal joins the media / photography team for the OC Riptide in 2023. Andrew is originally from Austin, Texas and is a junior attending Texas A&M International in Laredo. He is pursuing a degree in Business Administration while nurturing his passion for photography.
Interning for the OC Riptide aligns with his passion for photography and allows him to leverage his current experience with being a college baseball player. Andrew has developed valuable skills such as teamwork, discipline, and communication through his involvement in college baseball, which will greatly contribute to this OC Riptide internship.
Andrew’s journey exemplifies his unwavering commitment to personal and professional development. With his unique blend of business acumen, photography skills, and experience in college baseball, Andrew is poised to make a significant impact in photography. Being around sports his whole life, he knew capturing the moments would be a bonus in the future. Andrew’s journey shows his commitment to personal and professional development, with his interest in business, photography skills, and experience in college baseball.
In his free time, he likes to play golf, go on hikes, and hang out with friends. He is looking forward to expanding his skills this summer.

Gracie Pugliese – Photography / Videography
Gracie Pugliese joins the Orange County Riptide 2023 Sports Videography/Photography staff as a sophomore at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ. She is majoring in Sports Management and Entertainment. Before attending GCU, Gracie attended JSerra Catholic High school and enjoyed her position as their Baseball Student Manager/Videographer while attending every game and numerous practices.
Gracie spent this last season working for the GCU Athletic Department as a Videographer and Live Stream Camera Operator for ESPN+, focusing on Baseball and Softball. She loves pushing the style boundaries of sports videos, creating much of the video content used by GCU and JSerra Social Media. Gracie Specializes in game highlights, hype videos, and player interviews. She has been doing videography for four years and enjoys every minute of it.
She is excited to bring her skills to the OC Riptide and hopes to change the expectations of Baseball Media and pique the interest of people who think baseball is too slow and boring.
Gracie grew up in Orange County surrounded by her brothers and cousins who all played baseball. She grew up watching the game and loved going to Angel games with her dad. Once she became involved in sports film, she was fascinated by the mechanics of baseball; intrigued by mechanics that make the game roll. She owes her interest in being sports content creator to Sarah Brechbill and Coach Brett Kay because they supported her when she had no idea what she was doing with a camera, believed in her potential, and trusted her learning process.
In her free time, Gracie loves to read at the beach, bake, spend time with friends and family, listen to music, and film Baseball. She is currently trying to break her record of games she has attended last year of 136 games.
The Orange County Riptide broadcasts all home games and select road games during the course of the 2023 season. The broadcast team is responsible for the digital presentation of the games complete with a Play-by-Play announcer, Color Analyst and Technical Director.
Adam Kunin – Livestream Technical Director
Adam Kunin joins the Orange County Riptide staff as an incoming freshman at the Walter Cronkite school of journalism at Arizona State. At ASU, he will pursue a degree in sports journalism.
At an early age, Kunin quickly fell in love with the game of baseball. Early on, he played little league and travel ball in Irvine, Calif. He would ultimately go on to play baseball at University High School for four years.
At University High School, Adam was a writer for the school newspaper for the “Sword and Shield”. Kunin wrote articles on the sports teams at the school, sharing insight from both student athletes and coaches.
Growing up in Southern California, Kunin has attended many live sporting events including Angels, Ducks, Chargers, and Lakers games where he has cheered on his favorite teams.
As an intern, Kunin hopes to learn what it is like being in the broadcast booth and how a live broadcast is produced.
Andrew Relvas – Broadcaster
Andrew Relvas joins the OC Riptide as a Broadcaster for the 2023 Season. Andrew is a Rising Sophomore at Miami University in Ohio, and is pursuing degrees in Journalism and Sports Leadership and Management.
At Miami, he has had numerous experiences broadcasting by being a part of Miami Radio productions on RedHawk Radio for the 2022-2023 school year. He is also a part of the Miami Television News Club which produces a highly informative student-ran news show about the university every two weeks throughout the school year.
Relvas has also enjoyed broadcasting outside Miami for Earlham College Athletics during the school year. At Earlham, he has been able to call Quaker Baseball games on a regular basis as well as Basketball and Lacrosse games all at the Division 3 level.
He is also a big sports fan and loves to follow each major professional league intently. Andrew’s favorite MLB team is the Dodgers, and he loves listening to Dodger Radio Broadcasts, and visiting Dodger Stadium each year to catch a game.
Relvas is a 2022 graduate from Santa Margarita Catholic High School, and was a part of Eagle TV 2.0 during his Santa Margarita career. Being in Eagle TV 2.0 and producing daily shows and content for campus really captivated him to pursue a Sports Broadcasting career. With the OC Riptide this season, he hopes to continue to grow his broadcasting skills, and is excited to establish long lasting relationships in an awesome organization.
Ari Wohl – Broadcaster
Ari Wohl joins the OC Riptide 2023 Broadcast Team as a junior at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. Wohl is majoring in Sports Journalism and is hoping to become an MLB broadcaster for a team, or for a network like ESPN.
At Arizona State, he has had the opportunity to broadcast baseball, men’s and women’s hockey, men’s and women’s basketball, football, softball, and soccer games. Additionally, he wrote for several Sun Devil sports teams, appeared on a weekly studio show, and created video packages for Arizona high school sports.
Wohl is a big baseball fan, the Yankees being his favorite team, and enjoys following the NHL, NBA, and NFL. Besides his love for sports, he was a member of the marching band at Capistrano Valley High School for four years and spent two years as a section leader. He continued his passion for music in college as a member of the Sun Devil Marching Band at ASU.
Wohl was born and raised in Orange County and is the youngest of two. He played Little League throughout his childhood and quickly realized his goal of making it to the majors was unlikely, causing him to take an interest in sports broadcasting and reporting. With the Riptide, he is excited to spend the summer broadcasting the team and gaining experience. He also hopes to make connections with other college students with similar interests.
This is Ari’s second summer interning with the OC Riptide. In 2022, Ari interned within the Sports Information Department writing game recaps and feature stories.

Matt Kim – Public Address Announcer
Born and raised in Irvine, Calif., Matt Kim will transfer to the University of Southern California and will major in communications at Annenberg.
Matt played baseball throughout high school and plans to transition into a career in sports media, targeting baseball.
Whether through broadcasting, announcing, or any other profession within sports, Matt plans to showcase his skills and work in professional media one day.
Matt is a huge Dodgers fan and the player he looks up to the most as a kid to even now is Clayton Kershaw.

Cee Cee Johnston – Live Game Producer
Cee Cee Johnston joins the Orange County Riptide staff as the Live Game Producer for the 2023 season. Cee Cee is a rising sophomore at Chapman University. She is majoring in Film and Television Production at Chapman’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts while also pursuing a minor in Business Entertainment/Entrepreneurship.
As a student at Chapman, Cee Cee has had the opportunity to direct, shoot, produce, edit, and act in a multitude of student projects. Her passion for the production of film and television, as well as the entire entertainment world, led her to joining the OC Riptide staff.
Born and raised in Orange County, Cee Cee has had the ability to attend local sports events – from Angels and Dodgers games to cheering on the 49ers as they took on the LA Rams. Excited to combine her interest in television production and baseball, Cee Cee is looking forward to partnering with other members of the OC Riptide staff to create an effortless and exciting experience for the audience and players of OC Riptide.
