Provides outstanding opportunity for players to compete with wood bats, at NCAA division I level locally, and to further develop the players that are competing currently at that level preparing them for wood bat/professional baseball experience. The Riptide Baseball Club provides a “premier” player environment, as we are all about COMPETING. This provides an excellent environment for learning, developing, improving, and obtaining confidence in baseball skills and abilities. Provides all players participating a fair amount of playing time, plenty of opportunity to enhance baseball skills, high competitive baseball, as well as enhance performance. The Riptide participate in 5 games a week with the intention to play close to 50 games during the 2016 summer baseball season. (Excluding tournaments and NBC World Series.) Riptide roster is composed of mostly Division I players with a mix of Division II and top notch Division III, NAIA, and Junior College players. This 2016 summer season will be the 2th for the Riptide, we look forward to a successful season. Eligibility to play in NBC World Series at Lawrence Dumont Stadium in Wichita, KS. The Riptide’s home field for the 2016 season is Concordia University Irvine in beautiful sunny Orange County, CA. Strong strategy in developing the organization for long-term existence with the intention to provide players the same atmosphere found at the NCAA Division I and in professional baseball. Selective scheduling as well as player recruitment with the intention to be a competitive ball club and goals are to win the California Collegiate League (CCL) and to win the NBC World Series in Wichita, KS. Second season in Orange County California. The Riptide provide a loose but professional environment that make the summer a fun but competitive experience. The California Collegiate League provides the same atmosphere as you would if you were playing in the West Coast League, Northwoods League, Jayhawk league, Alaska League, or the Cape Cod league. Local players get a chance to stay home. It gives them a chance to go to summer school or work part time while still getting the competitive play they need to enhance or keep their skills sharp. Out of state players are given the opportunity to play in sunny Southern California. We do our best to find host families, and they will get a great baseball experience but also a chance to live temporarily in California.
